Who we are looking for

AnGrasta Technologies is seeking an experienced AI Engineer with a strong background in computer vision to join our team on a 12-month contract basis, with the possibility of extension. This role is crucial in driving our efforts to develop and deploy cutting-edge computer vision solutions for operational excellence. Reporting to the Data Operations Manager, the person in this role will work with the internal and external stake holders to develop computer vision solutions for our clients.

What you’ll be doing

  • Design and develop state-of-the-art computer vision models and algorithms using deep learning techniques, including convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and object detection models
  • Implement and optimize machine learning pipelines for computer vision tasks, such as image classification, object detection, and defect detection
  • Leverage advanced deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch to build, train, and deploy computer vision models
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and subject matter experts, to integrate computer vision solutions into production systems
  • Utilize Azure Cloud services and infrastructure for model training, deployment, and scalability
  • Define and provide strong SLAs around latency, throughput and resource (memory / disk / network / CPU / GPU) usage
  • Work closely with AI Platform teams to operationalize continuous model training, inference, and monitoring workflows
  • Participate in the entire lifecycle of computer vision projects, from data preparation and model development to deployment and monitoring
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in computer vision, deep learning, and artificial intelligence, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our solutions
  • Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

What you bring

  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Data Analytics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on machine learning, computer vision, and artificial intelligence
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in developing and deploying computer vision solutions to production environments, with a proven track record of success
  • Proficient in Python programming and familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud services, including Azure Machine Learning, Azure Databricks, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
  • Strong understanding of git and version control systems for collaborative software development
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills
